Course Objective:

This programme will guide and assess the development of knowledge and skills of those employed within the health and social care sector caring for adults. It is aimed at those working in health and social care settings where the qualification will develop the ability of learners to practically support the health and care needs of adults in a range of settings within the sector such as:

Healthcare Assistants Care Workers Domiciliary Care Workers Support Workers in primary care Supportive Living environment.

Course Delivery:

This qualification focuses on and assesses your practical competencies; this is delivered via self-directed study (for example producing plans, observations and reflections).

An assessor will visit the candidate at their workplace once a month for a minimum of 2 hours. Observations will be agreed between the learner and assessor and it is the responsibility of the learner to liaise with their employer for this to take place within the workplace.

Learners will be required to spend 4- 6 hours a month completing knowledge reports
