Course Objective:

The qualification in Learning and Development has been designed to ensure that the delivery and quality of training programmes are of the highest standard. This programme is aimed at those pursuing a career in the area of Learning and Development.

It is suitable for anyone who is employed in an organisation in order to facilitate learning. The individual may be working as part of a wider delivery team or organising learning in a variety of settings including workplace and training establishments. The framework is relevant for employers and providers in the private, public and third sectors and for those involved in the delivery of funded and commercial learning. Successful completion of this framework ensures that trainers have the job skills and knowledge applicable to their role, and the underlying skills to be able to operate effectively as a trainer. Course Delivery:
An assessor will visit the candidate at their workplace once a month for approximately an hour and a half. In addition to this, they will set approximately four hours of work to complete before the next meeting. Support materials will be given to candidates and the assessor is always available to give any extra support that is required. Learners will be required to complete between 5 and 6 units to achieve the qualification.
